Two Chinese men abducted in Nasarawa by unknown gunmen

The Nasarawa State Police Command said on Saturday that two Chinese attached to West African Polaris Investment, WAPI, were kidnapped in Agada village, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ismail Noman said in Lafia that 50-year-old XJieng AI Jung and 45-year-old Wenso Ping were ambushed by unknown gunmen at about 2.28p.m,
on the their way to Abuja. He said the police had commenced investigation to track them.He said security agencies were working together with vigilante groups, local hunters and community leaders in the search for the foreigners.

He said, “The Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq-Bello, has directed that the search operation team should do everything possible to ensure that the victims are rescued.”

The PPRO called on the people of the state to report any suspected person in their area to any nearest security agency.
