Man cuts into two along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in fatal accident [PHOTOS]

Motorists and passersby on the Kilometer 15, quarry area of Ibadan-Lagos Expressway were Sunday thrown into shock as a fatal accident involving two Mazda commercial buses and one Mercedes Benz Sport Utility Vehicle, SUV, shredded a man into pieces, Daily Post reports
No fewer than six persons were said to have lost their lives in the road accident that occurred at the popular Ibadan-Lagos expressway at about 5:36pm.
 
The Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Oyo State command, Mr. Seun Onijala, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said the accident was as a result of dangerous overtaking.He said the accident involved two Mazda commercial buses with registration numbers EKY 59 XR, AME 384 XA; and one Mercedes Benz Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) with registration number EKY 111 BL.
 
He added that the three vehicles were going to Lagos from Ibadan before the accident occurred.
“While the remains of the dead passengers had been deposited at the Adeoyo Hospital morgue, Ibadan, about 21 persons who sustained high degree of injuries were taken to Ibadan Cen­tral Hospital at Ososami for treatment,” the PRO added.
