Boko Haram kills 5 people, abducts women in Borno

Suspected Boko Haram members have killed five people in Askira-Uba local government area of Borno State.
Residents yesterday disclosed that the terrorists attacked Dagu village along the border with Adamawa.
According to Daily Trust, the villagers further narrated how Boko Haram also kidnapped some women.
Reacting, Major Bakare Akintoye, the Army Public Relations Officer of the 28 Task Force Battalion in Mubi, said only two civilians were killed and that there was no case of abduction.
He said the military mobilized to the village during the attack, forcing the attackers to flee, adding that the military was conducting a clearance operation in the area.
