According to him, most products consumed in Nigeria are imported, adding that Nigerians failed to “swiftly” adjust to the present economic recession in the country due to their “bloated” lifestyle.
Anwukah, a former Vice Chancellor of the Imo State University, Owerri, made this knowm at the IMSU
Law Lecture Theatre during a session organised by the university in honour of four of its alumni, referred to as the “distinguished senators.”
He said, “Though there are hunger and pain in the land following the economic crash, I know that after this timeout, it will be better for all Nigerians.”
