New York bombing suspect Ahmad Rahami arrested after 'shootout' following police manhun

The Manhattan bombing suspect has been arrested reportedly after a shootout in the US. Officers had been searching for Ahmad Khan Rahimi in connection with the blast this weekend.

A property connected with the 28-year-old was earlier probed by FBI workers and investigators were said to have been readying a wanted poster.
Officers are probing the possibility of coordinated attacks being carried out by an undercover group.
On Saturday night, a 'homemade bomb' hidden in a trashcan exploded in Manhattan injuring at least 29 people.
Terrified witnesses said they heard a "loud boom" and felt the ground beneath them shake as a huge "fireball" erupted into the air.
A second suspected bomb in a pressure cooker with wires attached to it and connected to what resembled a mobile phone was found blocks away.
Hours later police descended on a train station in New Jersey and faced another explosion while dealing with a suspicious package.
An eyewitness described the blast as "thunderous" but no injuries have been reported.
Earlier today it was announced that FBI agents were questioning five people over the two explosions.
The FBI pulled over a car that spokeswoman Kelly Langmesser described as "a vehicle of interest in the investigation" in Brooklyn on Sunday night.
Law enforcement sources said five people in the car were being questioned at an FBI building in the city.- Mirror
