There is a story told of a young black boy who lived in America so many
years ago when racism was the order of the day. He saw a man one blessed
day blowing air into different colours of balloons and releasing them
to the air, in admiration he patiently watched. He walked up to the man
and asked; sir would a black balloon also fly as high as these ones, the
man replied yes of course. It's not about the colour, but rather it's
content.
I will use this medium to encourage you reading
this, success is not about race, gender, background, beliefs, stature,
social class e.t.c Success is not a respecter of persons, anyone who
applies the principles of success will be a success. Stop wasting your
time and engage in profitable ventures, it is not everything you can do
that you should do. It's not every activity that leads to success. You
don't need to do what everybody is doing, you don't also need to do what
you only can do. But rather do what you should do. What you can do and
what you should do might not be the same, what you can do might not be
the right thing to do but what you should do will always be the right
thing to do. Poverty is not a pre-destined trait, it is only a state of
mind. Come out from every mindset of poverty, you are not born to be
poor. Being in an unfavourable environment should be your greatest
strength rather than disadvantage.
Remember you will never succeed at a venture you don't try or take seriously.
Let your impact be felt in the hearts and lifes of people and all the
rest will be taken care of. From Bill Gates, through Oprah Winfrey,
appreciating Nick Vujicic to Mark Zuckerberg I've learned is not seeking
to be rich or a Billionaire that changed their lifes but in identifying
a problem and seeking a solutions to it. Riches is a by-product of our
dedication, commitments and works, and never an end in itself. Your only
limits are your Self imposed Limitations. Thank you.
