Some Arsenal fans have been caught on video singing: “Arsene Wenger, we’ll be happy when you die in May”. The chant was heard as some supporters of the club, protested against the continued stay of the
Frenchman as manager.
During the Gunners’ 1-0 win over Norwich City at the Emirates, fans
held up ‘Time for change’ banners, but majority sang Wenger’s name.
After the game, Wenger apologized to the supporters and stated that
it was more “disappointed love than aggression”, after another
disappointing campaign.
“I give my best for this club,” he said.
“You don’t spend 19 years at a club – like Sir Alex Ferguson spent 26
– without (giving) every minute of your time, you give your whole life
for that and try to do as well as possible. One target is to keep 100
per cent of people happy. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to do that this
season.”- Daily Post
