John Terry signs contract extension with Chelsea


 
Chelsea captain, John Terry, has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.
The defender looked as if he was ready to quit the Stamford Bridge outfit this summer, with a move to the MLS or China mooted Dailypost reports
But last week, the Blues offered him a new deal to extend his stay in West London.
“I am delighted to sign a new contract with the club,” he said.
“Everyone knows I’m Chelsea through and through.
“I am looking forward to next season under the new manager and hopefully we can make it a successful one.
“Also, a special mention to the fans for their continued support.
You’re the best in the world.”

In an emotional speech after his side's final league game against Leicester on Sunday, the 35-year-old, who was out of contract in the summer, said he wanted to remain at the club BBC reports

Chelsea will be managed next season by Italy boss Antonio Conte, who takes over from Guus Hiddink.
