Controversial artist removes nipples and bellybutton to sell to the highest bidder

An artist has had his bellybutton and nipples removed to sell them online.
Karim Boumjimar wrote in a post on Twitter: “I got rid of my nipples and I’m selling them.”
And there has been a backlash online, with many calling him "disgusting".
The 18-year-old, who lives in London, included a picture of what looks like two dried-up nipples with piercings through them.
“My belly button necklace is coming soon :-)” he added.
There is also an image of his bare chest and stomach, seemingly without those features.
On Instagram, he wrote that he would sell the nipples for "10,000 - no time wasters.
"Boumjimar wants to get rid of the body parts because he doesn’t “want to get attached to them” and “feel any kind of emotion towards them”, he told Dazed .

Boumjimar, who is Spanish-Moroccan, says he was inspired by the Mona Lisa as she has no eyebrows or eyelashes, despite the detail paid to the rest of the painting by Leonardo da Vinci .
“It came to me — I could do the same thing with my body.
As humans we all have the same anatomy and I decided to do what I want with mine.”
He said another inspiration was body modification artist Stelarc, who attached an ear to his left arm, and uses his body as a canvas.
“I am my main medium. Narcissism is my main medium. That’s what I have been doing and that’s what I’m going to do.
“My Instagram is just about me and that’s how I want it to be.”

The surgery was reportedly carried out in Bosnia, and has garnered Boumjimar a lot of negative attention online.
