Man killed a woman he met through an online dating site, lived 2 days with her body

Suspects
Jeremiah Elliott, left, and Jimmie Elliott
A man stabbed to death a 28-year-old woman he met through an online dating site, then he and his brother stayed at her apartment for two days as her body lay under some bedsheets, Sanford police said Wednesday. Latrice Randolph was stabbed several times in the upper torso and back at the Hatteras Sound
apartments in the 7000 block of Island Bay Circle, according to an arrest affidavit. Jimmie Elliott, 28, is charged with first-degree murder, while his brother Jeremiah Davis Elliott, 23, is charged with obstruction of justice.
According to his arrest affidavit, Jimmie Elliott said they met online several weeks ago and was living with her. He told police he killed Randolph on Sunday when he "[lost] his temper" after seeing text messages from other men. They also argued after she refused to let Jeremiah stay at her apartment, police said.
The investigation started when her mother became concerned about her well-being after she received text messages from her daughter saying she was going to Tallahassee and wouldn't return until mid-May.
She went to the apartment around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and was let inside by a manager, according to police.
When she got inside, she saw two men she didn't know, who would later be identified as the Elliott brothers. One of them fled while the other started packing up his stuff.
The mother called police, and they came to the apartment.
Officer Jenna Smith noticed a smell and found the body in a bedroom closet. It was wrapped in bedsheets.
The sheets were covered in blood and there were "obvious attempts" to clean up the scene, police said.
Police were able to find the Elliott brothers nearby, and they were arrested. Both are being held at the Seminole County Jail without bond.
Jeremiah Elliott told police he was not at the apartment when the incident took place, but saw blood and Randolph's body when he returned. He was charged because he did not report what he saw to police.
Police are still trying to positively identify Jeremiah because he didn't have any valid ID and searches of databases did not match anyone with that name, officials said.
Records show Jimmie Elliott was charged with aggravated battery and false imprisonment in a 2014 case out of Osceola County. The charges were later dropped..
