ISIS terrorists behind Brussels bombings 'planned to attack Paris but targeted Belgium city after key suspects arrested'

Belgium prosecutors said the terrorists took the decision to strike in Brussels after being left surprised by the speed of the police investigation.The terrorists behind the Brussels bombings which killed 32 people had initially planned to attack Paris, Belgian prosecutors said. The planners behind the devastating attacks on March 22 had wanted to target the French capital.However, after police made a series of arrests of key suspects they decided to strike closer to home.Belgium's federal prosecutor said today: "Numerous elements in the investigation have shown that the terrorist group initially had the intention to strike in France again.They had evaded police for four months after November's killings.Abrini was arrested on Friday and admitted to having participated in the Brussels airport bombings. He has been charged with terrorist murders, prosecutors said. -Mirror
