How man, two daughters were burnt to death after stored fuel causes fire

The Lagos State Fire Service has confirmed the death of a middle-aged man simply identified as Shade and his two daughters who were killed in a fire incident that occurred at 5 Adeniyi Street, Shomolu Oja, Lagos State on Tuesday. The inferno reportedly razed down the entire apartment, destroying property worth millions of Naira.
An eyewitness, Ibrahim Bala, disclosed to Daily
Trust that ‘the fire was caused by indiscriminate storage of Petroleum Premium Spirit, PMS by the father.’ Confirming the incident on Wednesday, the Director of the Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe, said the man lit a stove along the corridor of their house, close to where he stored petrol in a plastic Jerrycan.
“The name of the father and two daughters killed in fire are Mr. Shade, and the two daughters, Mistura, 18 years old and Adura, 16.
“Their bodies have been deposited at the hospital,” Fadipe said.
