Death toll risen to 6 as a storey building collapsed in Lagos

Death toll in the collapsed building at Lekki in the early hours of today has risen to six as rescue operations by the National Emergency Management Agency, South West zone and  Lagos State Fire Service are still ongoing.
Another person has however, been rescued bringing the total number to seven.
it was learnt that there are still several others trapped in the building including a nursing mother. They have been putting calls across to their relatives seeking for help.
A five-storey building collapsed in the early hours of Tuesday at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State, resulting in the
deaths of at least four people.

The spokesperson for NEMA, Ibrahim Faronloye, has said they would not relent in their efforts until others still trapped in the collapsed building are rescued.
As of 9am, four people have been recovered dead and six others rescued.
