Evans pleads guilty to kidnap charges


 
Acclaimed billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme George Onwuamadike a.k.a Evans, on Wednesday morning, appeared in court to face series of charges levied against him, The Sun reports.
Evans pleaded guilty to the two count of conspiracy and kidnapping.
Evans and five members of his gang arrived the court under heavy security. They were marched into the courtroom at 8. 56a.m to face Justice Akeem Oshodi of Court 18.
Evans lawyer, Mr. Kayode Ogungbeje, who has been
representing him in his N300 million fundamental rights suit against the police was also in court.
Evans lawyer, earlier however, had said they have been denied access to him and that he may plead guilty under duress. The head legal team, police commissioner’ of police office said the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahom Idris, only had time to work on one file out of 10 files submitted  by investigation. He said more charges will follow between now and October 19 the adjourned date. More details that will include the names of the prosecution and defence team coming
