A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip crashed into the centre of the Israeli city of Sderot on Sunday, without causing injuries or damage, police said. They said it struck an
area “between two buildings on a road” of the city, located less than four kilometres (2.5 miles) from the coastal enclave.
According to Israeli media, it was the first time that downtown Sderot was struck by a rocket fired from Gaza since Israel’s last war with Palestinian militants in the territory in 2014.
On July 2, Israeli air raids hit four sites in the Gaza Strip after a rocket struck a building in Sderot. There were no casualties in either incident.- AFP
